The almost ridiculous Zag-spear and hope for Flurry Jab, or how it's called, is the easy-cheesy way, for me.The doom timing works nicely with getting off 4 attacks, and keeps up privileged* status for crazy good damage. How I decide to build a spear run largely depends upon the first hammer upgrade that I end up getting. The best ones (IMO) are flurry jab, serrated point and exploding launcher.
