The 1955 maybe weakly tosses them out 1 foot. The ejector spring seems strong. Now looking at a Model 55 with the correct barrel length and choke, but no swamp gun barrel stamp. Where all swamp guns, barrel stamped swamp gun, or is this a standard 55 cut down to mimic one ? The basic Model 55 Hunter was made from 1954-1965, with either full or adjustable choke. It sounds like that's the one you have although the standard barrel length was 28" on that model.
